Remember, Remember..

“Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot…”

Today marks the 402nd Anniversary of the Gunpowder plot. One of many failed attempts at assassination of King James I of England.

“On 5 November each year, people in the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries and regions[5] celebrate the failure (or among some groups, the attempt) of the plot on what is known as Guy Fawkes Night, Bonfire Night, Fireworks Night, Cracker Night or Plot Night; although the political meaning of the festival has grown to be very much secondary today.”

  • Becoming Mobile..

Ive decided that I want to become mobile (gee, What a thought. Seeing as Im home for about enough time to sleep, shave, shower, eat and get back to work).

Its just time for me to ditch that old desktop (going on 2 1/2 years old now….).

Im looking for a laptop, with no bigger a screen than 15″, faster or equal to an (aging, low-end) AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.21ghz (the original 754pin, not the higher-end 939pin), has equal-to or more than 1GB or DDR 3200 (Yes, im running original DDR, not DDRII, or DDRIII), and has an equal-to or more powerful than graphics card than a ATI Radeon 9600XT (256mb DDR). Software package/bundles/accessories are unimportant.

And im looking to spend around $1200CDN inc. Taxes…

Im looking for suggestions, any suggestions will grant you instant admiration (If you dont already have it; You know who you are.). :)

    Thanks!

    -Ben

    Update:

    Im looking seriously at the Dell XPS M1330; configured w/ a Core2 Duo T7250 @ 2.0 ghz (2mb L2, 800mghz FSB), 2GB DDR2 @ 667mghz, 120GB 5400RPM Sata Hard Drive, 128mb NVIDIA GeForce Go 8400M GS, 8x Combo DVD Burner, w/ the Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini card option, w/ a 9cell Primary battery and a 6cell (slimmer) battery. All default configuration options for the rest.

All for about $1658 CDN/ $43Monthly with Financing.

What are your thoughts and suggestions?
